The opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Treasury, the Senior Analyst, Treasury will assist in managing Gildan’s daily Treasury and cash management operations. The individual will play an active role in growing the departments capabilities across numerous platforms. The selected candidate will also assist in preparing various ad hoc corporate finance analysis and reports on Treasury-wide matters. This role involves using financial software to ensure the company’s financial health and operational efficiency. 

 

The role 

  • Support administration of Gildan’s Treasury Management System, Kyriba, along with other financial software, while ensuring data accuracy, system updates and troubleshooting any issues
  • Work with other functional areas to drive working capital management efficiencies and improvements to the forecasting process, including expansion of a supply chain financing program and implementation of a global credit card program
  • Help in identifying areas for efficiency in Treasury processes and support follow-through with improvement implementation, including implementing best practices and automation
  • Execution of FX trades and supporting matters
  • Monitor and produce global bank fees on a monthly basis
  • Streamline workflows across multiple tasks within the Treasury function
  • Support process improvement projects 
  • Assist in applying departmental policies and internal controls
  • Support reporting for Financial Risk Management meetings, monthly mark-to-market, quarterly Board materials, as well as other ad hoc reporting needs, along with the creation of new reports to support the departments requirements
  • Support letters of credits creation
  • Assist in bank fee analysis and online banking administration
  • Report monthly KPIs 

The requirements 

  • University degree in finance or related field
  • Professional designation (CPA, CFA, CTP) considered an asset
  • Prior experience with Kyriba considered an asset
  • 5-7 years of corporate treasury and/or corporate finance experience 
  • Strong financial modeling skills and strong business system acumen
  • Knows how to prioritize and to respect deadlines
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Rigorous, structured and organized
  • Large corporation/multinational environment experience considered an asset
  • Strong communicator in both English and French (Spanish is an asset)
  • This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French – mainly English.
