The Sales Accounting Analyst will be responsible for providing sales, pricing and industry analysis and accounting support for all divisions of the company. This position sits in the Sales Accounting and Analysis Department, reporting directly to the Manager, Sales Accounting & Analysis.
The Role
• Develop and provide daily and periodic analyses of sales and sales-related aspects within Gildan’s markets.
• Develop procedures and auditing techniques to ensure accurate information is distributed as well as allowing for the timely issuance of credit notes.
• Assist with month-end procedures and analyses as required. This includes the preparation, entry, and review of journal entries.
• Maintain and account for all deduction programs to timely and accurately close all month ends.
• Provide analyses and reports on POS, sales and promotions to internal and external customers.
• Perform the role of the Pricing Analyst as required. This includes the timely and accurate update of all price lists and promotions into the system for the various sections of the business.
The Requirements
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• At least five (5) years' experience in Accounting or three (3) years’ experience in an audit environment or a similar field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook are required.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good team player.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.
