The opportunity

The Accounts Payable Assistant is required to review and book all invoices uploaded in SharePoint, into the E1 Accounts Payable Module for the Treasury department to process payment. This position sits in the Accounts Payable Department, reporting to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable.

 

The role

  • Perform weekly checks for approximately twenty-five (25) expense reports across various currencies.
  • Upload and submit local invoices in SharePoint for approval.
  • Reconconcile the AP subledgers and the G/L at the end of each month.
  • Prepare and upload month-end accruals in SharePoint for review and approval.
  • Work closely with other departments including Financial Reporting, Operations and Marketing for example, to clarify any issues realted to invoices issued.
  • Maintain the Accounts Payable procedures in alignment with SOX documentation.

The requirements

  •  A Degree in Finance or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of one (1) year's experience in an Accounting environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SharePoint and SOX procedures would be an asset.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
