The Manager, Financial Accounting - Inventory Focus & Quarterly SOX Documentation, will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, to develop and implement inventory provision policies and optimize processes. The position sits in the Finance Department reporting directly to the Director, SOX Compliance.

The role

• Review and manage the preparation and documentation of the quarterly inventory provision schedules for SMD legal entities.
• Partner with the Sales, Operations and Supply Chain teams to align inventory management strategies, resolve provision-related issues, identify slow-moving inventory, and support effective decision-making.
• Reconcile and prepare Inventory lead sheets.
• Provide monthly high-level analysis on Inventory movement and margins realized for all SMD legal entities.
• Collaborate with the SMD Product Development team to assess the profitability of SKUs to determine potential SKU rationalization on an annual basis.
• Review monthly negative margins and quarterly sensitivity analysis over SMD inventory provision.
• Prepare SOX Forms for all SMD Inventory for all Gildan Distribution Centers and 3rd party managed Distribution Centers.
• Daily review and approval of payments to related companies and external third parties.

The requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA, CMA, ACCA certifications are considered as assets.
• At least 5 years of Audit experience within an Audit Firm along with strong spreadsheet skills.
• At least two (2) years' experience managing a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
• High level of interpersonal skills and professionalism required.
• Ability to speak and present information in a clear concise manner.
• Ability to work under demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.
