The opportunity

The Manager, Treasury will assist with managing the SMD (Sales, Marketing and Distribution) Division’s daily treasury operations including Know Your Customer requirements with the various local banks in SMD. The Manager will manage the forecasting and short-term financing needs, the intercompany flow of funds and the funding requirements pertaining to the SMD Division and its related sales entities which include: the USA, Europe, UK, Asia, Colombia and Mexico. This position sits in the Treasury Department, reporting directly to the Director, Treasury.

The role

  • Manage and monitor all bank accounts for the SMD Division’s companies, including intercompany settlements, short-term borrowing requirements and weekly funding. 
  • Manage the cash flow forecasting process for the SMD Division’s companies via Kyriba and collaborate with Director, Treasury and Corporate Treasury on cash flow requirements.
  •  Assist the Director Treasury with the local banking relationship including any KYC requests.
  • Supervise the issuance of documentary collections and letters of credit pertaining to the SMD Division.
  • Assist with the review and approval of journal entries/ERP batches related to payments/debits to bank accounts for month-end close.
  • Manage the Treasury team's direct reports.
  • Manage any SOX/Audit Compliance & Financial Reporting/Tax requests.

The requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a Finance related discipline.
  • At least five (5) years completion of an accounting designation.
  • At least 5 years' managerial experience.
  • Banking experience would be an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; able to gather and analyze information and present to executive management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership experience with proven ability to develop and motivate teams.
  • High level of interpersonal skill and professionalism required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and sound judgment in handling sensitive financial data.
