The opportunity

The Business Intelligence Developers Intern will support the BI team by developing, maintaining, and enhancing analytical solutions using Snowflake SQL and Tableau. The intern will work closely with Business Analysts (BAs) to understand business requirements, participate in meetings, and translate needs into data models, dashboards, and reports. 

 

The role

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and views in Snowflake to support reporting and analytics.
  • Assist in building and updating Tableau dashboards and reports following BI standards.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to understand data requirements and business logic.
  • Participate in requirements-gathering meetings, note action items, and ask clarifying questions.
  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting of BI outputs.
  • Document data sources, calculations, KPIs, and dashboard logic.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and support ongoing reporting requests.
  • Follow BI governance, security, and performance best practices. 

The requirements

  • Working knowledge of SQL, Snowflake: 
  • Familiarity with Tableau  
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical teams 
  • This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French – mainly English.
