The opportunity

The Inventory Control Administrator is responsible for executing various day-to-day inventory control operations for consignment, third-party logistics and Gildan-owned distribution centers, including order processing and inventory reconciliation. This position sits within the Inventory Control Department, reporting to the Team Leader - Inventory Control.

 

The role

  • Place orders and process JDE receipts for warehouse transfers. 
  • Process customer direct shipments, maintain direct shipments logs, compile documentation for direct shipments.
  • Liaise with the Customer Service Department and the warehouses regarding weekly inventory reconciliation for consignment accounts, document reasons for each variance and take appropriate action to reconcile. 
  • Maintain relevant KPI’s, compile and circulate various inventory reports.
  • Reconcile inventories in the virtual branches and follow up with the relevant parties to ensure that balances are cleared accurately and timely.
  • Liaise with the Business team to ensure that customs invoice templates are accurately prepared and disseminated for shipments to the international markets.

The requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Management, Finance or a related discipline.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in inventory management or a similar field.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to work are essential.
  • Strong quantitative skills for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
