The opportunity

The Chargeback Analyst is required to work with the Finance team to challenge deductions taken as chargeback claims by customers in violation of their compliance guidelines.

 

The role

  • Analyze chargeback claims to determine the required documentation and method of research to resolve or challenge claims.
  • Gather necessary data to validate claims by researching customers' websites and contacting their claims and/or accounting departments. 
  • Provide information to help determine the validity of chargeback claims.
  • Maintain and update multiple Customer Daily Logs used for tracking claims and historical data. 
  • Collaborate with the Credit Department to ensure that all claims are cleared in a timely manner and that all documents submitted for credit are in SOX compliance. 
  • Maintain and organize filing systems to ensure that all documents/approvals are included and easily retrieved for audit purposes.  

The requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in an Accounting or Finance environment.    
  • Strong analytical and online research skills.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle large volumes of data.
  • Good communication and follow up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
