The Cash Applications Coordinator - International Markets serves as an essential interface between Account Managers and customers and requires the ability to communicate effectively while building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. The successful candidate should be proficient in navigating ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, with working knowledge of Excel formulas and functions. Strong time management and organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within deadlines are also essential. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills would be considered an asset. The position sits within the Credit Department, reporting to the Manager, Credit.

The role

• Daily application and validation of receipts from customers and Gildan companies, ensuring accurate and timely posting to the Accounts Receivable sub-ledger and General Ledger, including the handling of exceptions from the third-party Cash Applications provider.
• Prepare invoices and credit memos for intercompany transactions and customer credit notes for promotional and other rebates, ensuring supporting documentation is accurate and appropriately approved.
• Manage Gildan Brands Australia customer cash accounts, including research, analysis, follow-up and collection of receivables from internal and external customers.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including Collection Reports, Accounts Receivable reconciliations and Unapplied Payments reconciliations.
• Support the International and US markets by monitoring Credit Mailboxes and ensuring communications are promptly actioned and distributed to the relevant personnel.
• Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with company policies, internal controls and SOX compliance requirements.

The requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline.
• A minimum of two (2) years' experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance, Accounting or a related area.
• Knowledge of cash application processes, payment posting, reconciliations, credit processing and account maintenance.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies while working with internal departments and external customers.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Ability to understand and adhere to company policies, procedures and SOX compliance requirements.
